Simple Womans Daybook

For Today Tuesday, August 18,2009

Outside my window....the sun is beginning to set. Some dark clouds are passing by quickly.

I am thinking....it is so nice to be a blessing to others.

I am thankful for...the opportunity I have had this month to serve on the servant hearts team. Give such joy to be able to give to others.

From the learning rooms...not sure what happened today but we lost our plan.

From the kitchen...Chicken and dumplings, fresh made bread and chocolate chip cookies

I am wearing...long denim skirt and gray tank top with bare feet.

I am creating....Roo's dress I have not had much time to sew so it is getting down slowly.

I am going....to finish this up and go back to sewing Roo's dress.

I am reading... there is no reading going on outside of teaching.

I am hoping...God leads us soon, it has been almost 2 years since are struggle began. Amazing also a blessing that we are still in our home. The stress of not knowing where we will end up here or somewhere else gets to both of my husband and I at times. That is when we just want to quit and shut down.

I am praying...for my husband.

I am hearing....a movie in the background the kids are watching I am suppose to be also. But I wanted to get my daybook done well I had a second.

Around the house....a few things are out of place due to a new piano arrival. It was given to us for the kids music.

One of my favorite things.....I like this one it makes me think of all the things I take for granted. This week I am going to say dark chocolate and Bottle Caps.

A few plans for the rest of the week...church Wednesday night, school lessons and sewing. A banquet on Thursday night for Breast Cancer.

Here is a picture thought I would like to share with you.... this is a quilt I really would like to make. I am so in love with this quilt.

Thank you Peggy for the weekly reminder of life's simplicity. If you would like to take part or read more daybook's please visit Peggy at The Simple Woman's Daybooks.

Mmm, I love dark chocolate too! :) You're making me want to make Chicken and Dumplings (one of Hubby's favorites), BUT since I have Salmon Cakes out of the freezer for tonight, it'll have to wait. AND, I love that quilt too, I especially love the soft crinkly look to it and the pastel shades.
Have a beatiful day!

You've had nice full days! We are slowly getting back into the swing of things. We will officially start in a few days. I'm not rushing it.
