The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today Monday September 14, 2009...

Outside my window....it is dark still for I don't see the sun beginning his rise. I know it will be shortly.

I am thinking...the phone woke me up with a job call, but hubby is on a big job so I can't work right now.

I am thankful....for the a chance that we maybe able to save our home.

I am wearing...my teddy bear nightgown to early to be dressed and going.

I am remembering...my babies when they were babies.

I am creating...finished the 2nd pair of socks. I didn't like the knitting pattern for this pair will go back to my original. Had this short row decrease where you slip wrapped a stitch it left hole no matter how you came back through to pick up the wrap. Now on to the 3rd pair this time for a wonderful niece that I just love so....

I am going....to strings today for my children.

I am reading....not doing reading still outside of school books.

I am hoping...calm week

On my mind...room planning and thoughts of what can go to make room for two boys to move into one room together.

From the learning rooms....today much around the house, then to strings. I will get in some book work with the younger two. Poppy is almost ready for the second grade books and Pooh bear just started the third grade.

Noticing that...my husband does care for me even when I feel he doesn't. The key word feel. Feelings are deceptive, we know in our heads God loves us, so why do we put so much pressure on our husbands to make us feel their love.

Pondering the words....ever ponder the words after a church service I have...but this week it is an action...Watching our Pastor circle and pray over a mother and daughter on Sunday. The mother is very sick and today is a very important day with test results due. Many prayers are being prayed her way today.

From the kitchen...coffee is fresh brewed, smells so good.

I am praying...for all of God's blessing's and provisions. For our home.

I am hearing....the bird waking and eating his morning seed. The fan on the computer.

Around the house....work to be done, ironing is over half way finished. Don't no why I allow it to pile up.

A few plan for the rest of the week.....the normal, school books, kids choir and string class. Pooh bear was promoted to his 3rd grade books last week. Trying to make this a big deal for him.

Here is a picture thought I would like to share with you.....Poppy who is only 6 yrs old took this picture, a photographer in the mist? Sunset last week...

I discovered your lovely blog from the SW Daybook. I enjoyed this entry. We also live and homeschool in FLA, and our kids do string music also! So we have a few things in common. Nice to "meet" you!

What a sweet post, yes I agree sometimes we do put too much pressure on our husband to show their love, when actually they show it in their own ways everyday.
I will pray that God continues to find away for you to save your home and for the Mother who needs our prayers.
Have a great day and know God loves us all.

I agree that it is easy to focus too much on feelings. We walk by faith not feelings. But as hormonal women, we can often forget that!

Love your daughter's photo of the sunset!

Inspiring post, especially regarding feelings. I usually just randomly pick 4-5 women from the list at Peggy's blog to visit each week, and today I picked you, or rather, God chose you for me! I needed that reminder.

What a lovely post. I tried to knit socks once---it wasn't pretty. Maybe...I'll try a blanket (something that's just straight across--no frills...lol).

I will say a prayer for God's provision over your home and family. I'm not sure what's happening, but God knows and He can do mighty things.

Enjoy the strings & have a blessed week. I've added your blog to my favorites so I can come visit again.
