The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today February 1, 2010

Outside my Window...overcast day warmer then yesterday. Hoping rain will either come early or hold off until I walk 28 children.

I am thinking... about my children and their birthday's. What do I want to do for them and when. All 4 of them are this month. If I stop to think about having them, that was a pretty good valentines present each time. What could have been better then holding a sweet smelling newborn each valentines.

I am thankful for... God giving us 6 years in our home in the country. This summer would be 7 yrs.

I am wearing....jeans, orchestra t-shirt and sneakers.

I am remembering...my daughter was only 6 months old when we moved into our home. It was the year that Florida was hit with 4 hurricanes back to back. Living here has never been dull.

I am going...to orchestra today with my 4 children. Looking forward to getting a walk i today.

I am currently reading...math problems, would like to get back into The Guardian. Lots of school is happening around here, doesn't leave much time for my personal reading.

I am hoping... that my husband will get a break soon form the pine pollen

On my mind....intimacy with God. How too have it?

Noticing that....I feel much better when I walk everyday.

Pondering these words...'I am hungry" I am wondering if these are the only words my oldest son knows anymore.

From the kitchen...ham and potatoes, Cincinnati chili, burritos, and spaghetti.

Around the house... I hear viola and cello practice KASHMIR by Led Zeppelin. The smaller children cleaning the kitchen together.

One of my favorite things...seeing pictures of snow that bring back wonderful childhood memories. With out having to feel the freezing cold and all the work of shoveling our way out of the house.

From my picture Journal...friends finding each other unexpectedly. Neither knew the other was going to the park that day. What's more, it isn't even our local park.

Thank you Peggy for hosting the daybook each week and helping us all remember the simple things in live.
