The Simple Woman's Daybook

For today May 4, 2010

Outside my window..
Forecast to be another 90 degree day. Not to bad yet the nights are still
cool enough. I am not turning the air on yet. May is to early in Florida
Come July and August you don't want to go outside at all.
Besides tomorrow is forecast for thunderstorms lucky if we reach the 80's.
and this time of year we have the best breezes.

I am thinking...
about money and God's promise to provide. Staying strong
on God's promise when we live in a world that you need
money for everything and there just isn't enough for even the daily needs.

I am thankful...
a husband that is creative and resourceful
we wouldn't be where we are even today if he wasn't so resourceful
and talented.

I am wearing...
God's promises, if I wasn't I
wouldn't be able to keep going each day.

I am remembering...
my mom, mailing her a card with a gift card for Mothers day.
Last I saw my mom was 3 yrs ago. Funny how time flies by and before you
know it yrs have past. I am trying to reach out to her more, she needs
to feel loved just as much as I want too...

I am creating...
still the scarf, not going anywhere much with sewing
or the crafts. Have been more busy creating the present and future with my children.

I am going...
we were going to choir but hubby thinks
we need to stay home. I tend to agree.

I am hoping and praying...
for work and guidance and for work.

From the learning rooms...
we will be working on all subjects today.

I am hearing....
morning chores and one already working on school

From the kitchen...
this week home made pizza
15 beans with ham and fresh made bread
steaks
hamburgers
spaghetti

Around the house...
normal daily chores and concentration on school.

One of my favorite things...
seeing the world through a child's eyes.

A few plans this week...
Staying home except for orchestra on Wednesday
and grocery shopping Friday
or Saturday.

Here is a picture I am sharing...
May crown made of wild flowers from our back field.

Loved the photos I love wildflowers. Our road is Wildflower Cir and our little cottage we named Wildflower Cottage if that is any indication as to our love of them.

Thanks for the visit my roses are for once living usually I am nursing them and they never bloom. The weather has been very freaky this year.

I grew up in Florida Daytona Beach, Flagler Beach, and Cocoa/Titusville areas. My parents are divorced I bounced around alot LOL.

Wow - those May crowns are quite exotic looking. I know you are very creative. Thanks for the comment about the new orchestra. I asked our teacher about it yesterday, though, and she doesn't want Chips in an orchestra. ;( Maybe in the future, but she wants him working more on scales and etudes this coming year. Sorry you haven't seen your mom in so long. Praying for peace, there.

love the may flowers, beautiful!

I like the name of your blog, our blog names are close sounding, we must have some of the same tastes, likes.

I see in your sidebar that you hand make soap, that is something I've always wanted to try, I even bought a book on it, but I've never tried it.

much grace and peace to you today,
