The Simple Woman's Daybook

For today April 6, 2010

Outside my window...
The air is crisp the sun is shining. Sun just reached the
tops of the trees as it raises this morning.

I am thinking...
about the scare we all received last night
on our bike ride.

I am thankful..
God's protection and my children's very quick response.

I am wearing..
Our Lord's forgiveness.

I am remembering..
the Fruits of the Spirit
How important they are daily in our lives.

I am creating...
another scarf, I have 3 I need to make.
I am still working on the lap quilt.

I am going...
to get the children and myself moving very shortly.

I am hoping and praying...
for all the young mom's dealing with cancer.
Some are just beginning the journey.

From the learning rooms...
we are chipping away at the normal books.
Marissa just finished up her blue LLATL book and has moved into
the red LLATL. She says "I am a big girl now".
Biggest lesson for my children this year is learning God's lessons.
He has a plan and he will take care of you.

I am hearing...
it is quite, a fans hum, my husband sleeping and
Pipper ( our Quaker parrot) he is ringing his bell.
He wants someone to come say hello to him.

From the kitchen...
I have no plans
it is grocery shopping time and right now
so tonight and tomorrow will be what is in the freezer
or pantry. Hopefully by Thursday we can go do the shopping.

Around the house...
dishes need to be done, family animals feed and
laundry maintained. Other then that we will be doing school this morning.

One of my favorite things...
our bike rides every evening, we are doing it as a family.

A few plans for the rest of the week....
Children's choir today with a meeting before hand.
Orchestra on Wednesday hopefully grocery shopping Thursday.

Here is a picture thought...
took this picture on Sunday. I just love how it reminds my of Jesus.
Thank you Peggy for the time to reflect each week on our life.
Also for reminding simple is worth so much more then anything else.

Yeah Marissa!
Glad you are all safe...no room for emergencies this week. As if there is ever time, that's why they are called emergencies.
Have a blessed week:)

Tara, I'd like to report back to you on my "young mom" friend, Darcy, in SC, with breast cancer. She just finished up all her chemo and is rejoicing over that! It has been quite a learning experience for her six children during these months. Her next step is radiation treatments, although I don't know yet when they will begin. I am sorry that you have another friend with cancer. What was your scare on the bike ride about?

Tara, you're quite an inspiration. Marissa sounds as if she is very ambitious.

Thank goodness you all are ok from the scary bike ride.

Well I guess a scare is better than an actual "somthing" happening. I'm sure it was hard just the same.
I loved your day book. I am trying to make a scarf as well. It's hard when it's not cold anymore. LOL
Have a fabulous weekend.
